The Perfect Aviator Jacket For This Winter

We’re seeing a big come back of aviator jackets this season! I actually remember having one around 10 years ago.  The jacket was pretty short, barely covering my waist and a bit oversized around my shoulders, but I was so obsessed with it and didn’t really care about the length at that time…

Growing up I understood that practicality and being warm were actually the most important aspects. I pretty easily switched to medium length, 3/4 and maxi length coats without even thinking of going back to short jackets.

For the last couple of months, I have been following this trend spreading all over social media. This time there are many styles, materials, colours and lengths to choose from! Just wow, we are spoilt for choice!

I developed a desire of having one of my own. We can never own too many winter jackets, right?  It is painful to store them as they take at least four times as much space as anything else, but let me worry about the storage later. Now I’m just going to enjoy it for the next couple of months.

I found my perfect super wearable Aviator Jacket in Warehouse. I knew from the beginning I didn’t want it to be black or leather. This jacket comes with a soft suedette outer, an ultra-soft faux fur lining, trims and zip detail.

I absolutely love it and feel like I’m going to live in it during the winter season.

What are your thoughts on the aviator jacket trends? If you wish to explore the options here are my favourite aviator styles for this AW18 season:

River Island Brown Faux Fur Aviator

River Island Beige Borg Aviator

Pull & Bear Aviator Biker

ASOS Design Bonded Aviator

Missguided Black Faux Fur Ultimate Aviator

New Look Mustard Faux Shearling Aviator

Hobbs Temara Aviator Jacket

Now I will leave you with some pictures from my weekend trip to the National History Museum. This place is so magical during the AW season with skating at the ice rink in full swing, Christmas tree in the centre, a shop selling Christmas goodies and an upstairs cafe where you can cosily sit and watch ice skaters while sipping your Christmas cocktails.
